    Cigarette Smoke Allergy

The concept of allergies is quite commonplace and well known around the world. Most people have had some form of allergy or the other at some point in their lives. It has been more than a century since allergies were defined as substances that cause irritation as well as reactions among people who are sensitive to these substances. The term allergy comes from two words 'allos' which means other and 'ergon' which implies work. The word allergy thus refers to external substances that cause bouts of irritation to people and could be caused by pollen, scents and perfumes or some spices and dust that are so ubiquitous by their presence in our surroundings. The basic reason why the body reacts to these external or foreign substances is on account of the fact that the body perceives it as being harmful on account of which it tries to preserve and protect itself from these deleterious effects that could impinge upon it on account of the substance. When it comes to smoke there are people who are allergic to cigarette smoke, which is known as cigarette allergy.

    Re: Cigarette Smoke Allergy

There are tons of air purifiers on the market that claim to remove cigarette smoke and odor from the air before it gets a chance to turn your windows yellow. Many of them call themselves "ozone" based air cleaners.
